Who we are
Polycue (the app) and its website polycue.b263.io are provided by Bastian Bräu Software, Rattenberger Straße 1 b, 94267 Prackenbach, Germany (see the Impressum). For anything about your data, write to info@b263.io.
In short
Polycue has no accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising and no server. Your flows and settings stay on your iPhone, and we can't see them. Only Create with AI sends something: the description you type, from your iPhone straight to Anthropic, with your own API key and under your own Anthropic account.
What stays on your iPhone
Your flows, your settings, a session that is running and the status of your plan are stored on this iPhone. Spoken cues are generated on the iPhone by iOS, and notifications and the Live Activity are created on the iPhone too. All of this stays until you delete a flow or the app. An iPhone backup can include it, protected by Apple. When you export a flow, you choose where it goes.
Your API key for Create with AI is kept in this iPhone's Keychain, for this device only: it is not synced through iCloud and not moved to another device. To remove it, go to Settings › Create with AI › Claude API Key › Remove API Key. iOS can keep Keychain entries after an app is deleted, so remove the key first if you want it gone.
Apart from Create with AI and Apple's own services, such as the App Store, the app connects to nothing.
Create with AI
Create with AI is optional and part of Unlimited. Nothing is sent until you tap Create. The first time, the app also tells you what will be sent, and sends nothing unless you continue.
What goes from your iPhone, over an encrypted connection, directly to Anthropic's API:
- the description you type;
- the app's fixed instructions about the flow format, which name the app's language;
- the model you chose in Settings;
- your API key, which tells Anthropic that the request is yours.
Like any server, Anthropic sees your iPhone's IP address. Test Connection in Settings sends a short fixed test text with your key, never anything you typed.
There is no server of ours in between. We never receive your description, the result or your key. The flow that comes back is stored only on your iPhone, like any other flow.
Anthropic handles the request under your own agreement with Anthropic, not under ours. In the EEA, that agreement is with Anthropic Ireland, Limited, Dublin. According to Anthropic's terms, Anthropic processes what you send on your behalf and doesn't train its models on it. It deletes the request and the result within 30 days, but can keep them for up to two years if its safety systems flag them. Anthropic also processes data in the USA; its data processing terms use the EU's standard contractual clauses for that. When it handles requests from the EU, Anthropic is bound by the GDPR. You can read more in Anthropic's privacy policy. Please don't type in details about other people that they wouldn't want shared.
Where the law treats us as responsible for sending your request, the legal basis is that you ask the app to send it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Who else receives data
- Apple runs the App Store and handles purchases, subscriptions and refunds under its own terms and privacy policy. The app learns only which plan you have. If you allow it in iOS settings, Apple shares crash reports and usage statistics with us in a form that doesn't identify you.
- DanubeData (Romania) hosts our website on servers in Germany. To deliver the pages, it sees your IP address and records it in the server's access log, which it keeps for [log retention, to confirm with DanubeData].
- Crisp (France) runs our support chat for us. It stores what you write there and anything you add, such as your e-mail address. Crisp keeps the conversation in the EU but uses some US service providers, under the EU's standard contractual clauses; we send you a copy of the clauses on request.
- OVHcloud (France) hosts our e-mail and stores the e-mails you send us.
We don't sell data, and we don't share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Data on your iPhone: until you delete it.
- Support chats and e-mails: we delete them 12 months after the conversation ends, unless tax or commercial law requires us to keep them longer.
Legal bases
- Answering your messages in the support chat and by e-mail: our contract with you if your message is about the app or a purchase (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Delivering the website: our legitimate interest in running it (Art. 6(1)(f)).
You never have to give us data. Without it, only Create with AI or an answer to your message can't work.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data and to have it corrected, deleted, restricted or handed over. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one where you live, or ours, the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht. Most of your data is only on your iPhone, where you can export or delete it yourself, and we hold no copy. Anthropic holds what Create with AI sends under your account, so ask Anthropic about that. For anything else, write to info@b263.io.
Your right to object
Where we rely on our legitimate interest (support messages and the website), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. Write to info@b263.io.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we say so in the app's release notes in the App Store.
